POSITION SUMMARY: Plan and schedule activities of interest for the Timbers Apartments residents on a monthly basis. Develop, notify and distribute monthly activity calendars to the residents of the activities scheduled.
Provides transportation services; records appropriate documentation regarding usage of vehicles and services provided; attend required in-service trainings.
Performs other duties as directed by supervisor.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Provide staff support to assigned resident committees
- Work with other Timbers staff to maintain communication
- Assist with planning and preparation for Fall Fest.
- Assist residents as needed with maintenance of Memorial Board.
- Plan, hold and notify residents of regular activities on at least a monthly basis and for holidays.
- Will be on-call for the Timbers apartments as needed/in the absence of the HUD Service Coordinator.
- Assist with organization and distribution of commodities.
- Provide safe, reliable, courteous, efficient transportation service.
- Record all gas and other purchases.
- Record mileage on soft copy of gas receipt.
- Give all receipts to Transportation Director.
- Inspect vehicles daily to ensure cleanliness and need for maintenance and repairs.
- Completes daily driver checklist.
- Attend required in-service trainings.
- Must be CDL certified within 60 days of employment
- All Drivers will be required to assist in receiving/retrieving phone messages for transportation
- All Drivers will be required to record messages they receive in the transportation schedule.
- All Drivers will assist in booking rides on the appropriate broker websites.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
EDUCATION: High school diploma or equivalency.
EXPERIENCE: One year or more experience in field of services to individuals with developmental and/or physical disabilities individuals and elderly.
One year of commercial driving experience preferred; previous use of lifts and tie-downs preferred.
SKILLS: Good oral and written communication skills; computer skills. Good time management skills. Self directed. Ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines.
Commercial Driver's License with Passenger endorsement preferred; First aid and CPR certified; familiarity with city layout; good driving record for the past three years; ability to read map.
