Asbury Pointe is looking for an on-call per diem Receptionist
Hours:
- Monday-Friday either 8am-12pm, 12pm-4:30pm, or 4:30pm-8pm
Weekends and Holidays either 8am-2pm or 2pm-8pm- - Must have weekend and holiday availability
Pay: $16.25/hour
JOBSUMMARY:The Receptionist is responsible for providing courteous and professional interactions with guests, residents, and staff. This role includes notifying residents and staff of guest arrivals, taking service requests, and providing general information. Additionally, the Receptionist performs light secretarial duties and operates the community switchboard.
ESSENTIALCOMPETENCIES:Completes all assigned duties, which may change periodically based on resident needs, staffing levels, and operational circumstances.
Observes lobby, rest rooms, and common areas to assure cleanliness.
Performs secretarial duties as assigned.
Participates in the activity and transportation program as requested.
Adheres to all company personnel policies and established operating procedures.
Conducts data entry tasks within computer systems, including Maintenance Services and Marketing lead tracking software.
Manages telephone answering and reception responsibilities professionally.
Responds to emergencies with a thorough knowledge of procedures and provides assistance as needed.
Maintains confidentiality of all pertinent facility, staff, and resident information.
Supports the Manager in public relations and outreach, coordinating with external organizations and volunteers to arrange entertainment as needed.
Screens and announces visitors to residents as necessary.
Assists in ordering and maintaining inventory of office supplies and equipment.
Executes any additional tasks assigned by the Executive Director or Resident Operations Manager.
Adheres to all established safety procedures and precautions.
Attends and participates in inservice education classes and on-the-job training programs as required. Attends and participates in workshops, seminars, etc. as directed.
WORKINGCONDITIONS:
The Receptionist operates in a well-lit and ventilated office/reception area and throughout the facility and its premises. The role requires intermittent sitting, standing, bending, lifting/ carrying weight up to 10 lbs. and frequent short-distance travel. The position involves handling multiple/emergency calls and may be subject to interruptions. The role requires communication with various department personnel and may involve interactions with emotionally distressed residents, family members, and visitors.
PERSONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
The ideal candidate should demonstrate a genuine interest in working with a senior population. A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred. Strong communication skills and the ability to maintain a professional demeanor are required. The candidate must be able to follow directions, present a professional appearance, and exhibit patience, tact, enthusiasm, and a cheerful disposition when engaging with residents, staff, visitors, and the public. Proficiency in using a personal computer and general office equipment, such as a scanner or copier, is necessary.
