Small Project Estimator

Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Small Project Estimator to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates, analyzing project specifications, and supporting project planning efforts. This role requires a strong understanding of construction estimating processes, excellent negotiation skills, and proficiency with industry-standard software. The Small Project Estimator will play a vital role in ensuring project profitability and successful execution by providing precise pricing and cost control strategies.

Duties

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for small to medium-sized construction projects using Bluebeam, HeavyBid, and other estimating software.
• Analyze project plans, specifications, and contracts to develop comprehensive bid proposals.
• Collaborate with project managers, clients, and subcontractors to negotiate pricing and scope of work.
• Assist in the development of project budgets, schedules, and resource allocation plans.
• Monitor cost control throughout the project lifecycle to ensure adherence to budget constraints.
• Review and evaluate subcontractor bids and manage contractual agreements related to project estimates.
• Support construction site teams by providing accurate estimates that align with project requirements and safety standards.
• Maintain organized documentation of estimates, change orders, and contract modifications for audit purposes.

Experience

• Proven experience in construction estimating, preferably with small projects or commercial builds.
• Strong knowledge of construction processes, site management, and contract administration.
• Proficiency in Bluebeam Revu for digital plan review and markup.
• Experience with HeavyBid or similar estimating software is highly desirable.
• Demonstrated ability in negotiation, pricing strategies, and cost control techniques within the construction industry.
• Familiarity with construction site operations, project management principles, and construction contracts is advantageous.
• Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy in cost estimation.
