Job Summary

M Genio is seeking two highly experienced
Application Project Managers (5+ years)
to lead critical IT initiatives for a major public sector client. In this role, you will be responsible for the end-to-end planning, delivery, and ongoing support of application projects. This includes managing the implementation of COTS and SaaS vendor solutions, as well as the enhancement of internally developed line-of-business applications.

The ideal candidate provides hands-on leadership, overseeing scope, schedule, budget, and quality while adapting delivery approaches (Waterfall, Agile, or Hybrid) to meet project needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Project Leadership:
  Actively manage day-to-day tasks for teams of 4–8 technical and business members.
• Full Lifecycle Management:
  Oversee projects from inception through RFI/RFP processes (coordinating with Purchasing and Legal) to final implementation and support.
• Documentation & Deliverables:
  Contribute directly to key project artifacts, including requirements gathering, testing plans, data models, and implementation documentation.
• Vendor Management:
  Coordinate with external vendors to ensure seamless integration and delivery of hosted and on-premises solutions.
• Stakeholder Engagement:
  Build and maintain strong relationships with department customers, ensuring clear communication and accountability.
• Standards Compliance:
  Ensure all solutions adhere to established technical, security, and governance standards.

Technical Environment & Tools

• Methodologies:
  Structured PM methodology incorporating Waterfall, Agile, and Hybrid approaches.
• Project Tools:
  Clarity PPM (portfolio/schedule/resource management), Azure DevOps (work tracking), and SharePoint.
• Collaboration:
  Microsoft Teams and MS Office Suite.
• Systems:
  Hybrid cloud and on-premises platforms, vendor-hosted solutions, and integrated systems utilizing APIs and data exchanges.

Qualifications

• Experience:
  5+ years of professional experience as an IT Project Manager specifically focused on applications.
• Education:
  Bachelor's degree in IT, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Procurement Knowledge:
  Familiarity with shepherding initiatives through formal RFI/RFP and contract award processes.
• Technical Literacy:
  Ability to understand and document complex technical requirements, architecture diagrams, and testing plans.
• Communication:
  Exceptional presentation and interpersonal skills, with a high level of attention to detail.

Work Environment

This position operates in a professional, partnership-focused environment. While the role supports essential public services, it offers the stability of a long-term (2+ year) contract.
Preference will be given to local candidates capable of a hybrid work schedule.
