Warehouse Associate

Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Warehouse Associate to join our dynamic distribution team. This role involves managing inventory, operating heavy equipment, and supporting various warehouse functions to ensure efficient order fulfillment and shipping operations. The ideal candidate will have prior warehouse experience and possess a strong understanding of safety protocols, inventory control, and equipment operation. Duties

• Manage inventory levels using warehouse management systems and RF scanners to ensure accurate stock control.
• Operate heavy equipment such as reach trucks, forklifts, cranes, pallet jacks, and order pickers safely and efficiently.
• Load and unload shipments, ensuring proper handling of materials during transportation within the facility.
• Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment with precision to meet customer deadlines.
• Assist with shipping & receiving tasks, including verifying shipments against purchase orders and packing lists.
• Stock shelves, organize materials, and maintain a clean and safe work environment in compliance with OSHA standards.
• Support manufacturing processes by handling materials and packaging products as needed.
• Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize storage solutions and improve workflow efficiency.
• Use warehouse management systems such as AS400 or other software to track inventory movements and generate reports.
• Perform mechanical maintenance or troubleshooting on equipment when necessary to minimize downtime.

Experience

• Prior experience in warehouse distribution, inventory management, or manufacturing environments is preferred.
• Proficiency in operating heavy equipment such as reach trucks, forklifts, cranes, pallet jacks, and order pickers is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS), RF scanners, and AS400 is a plus.
• Familiarity with inventory control procedures, shipping & receiving processes, and order fulfillment is essential.
• Mechanical knowledge or experience with heavy lifting, packaging, materials handling, or construction equipment is advantageous.
• Previous roles involving warehouse supervision or management experience will be considered a strong asset.
• Understanding of OSHA safety standards related to warehouse operations is required. This position requires physical stamina for heavy lifting and extended periods of standing or walking throughout the warehouse environment. Candidates should demonstrate mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety standards essential for efficient warehouse operations.

Pay: Up to $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40.0 per week
