General Manager

Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced General Manager to lead operations at The Fresh Monkee's first Charlotte location in Ballantyne. Reporting directly to the franchise owners, the GM will play a key role in successfully opening and managing the store, setting operational standards, and developing a strong team as the brand continues to expand.

Fresh Monkee offers truly healthy protein shakes and snacks made from real, fresh ingredients that support a wide range of lifestyles.

The General Manager will spend the majority of their time overseeing the floor, coaching staff, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, managing labor and inventory, and driving overall store performance.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of store operations, staffing, and guest satisfaction.
• Lead, develop, and mentor team members to maintain high performance and strong teamwork.
• Ensure operational excellence with a focus on product quality, speed of service, and customer engagement.
• Manage budgets, control labor and food costs, and maximize revenue opportunities.
• Monitor and manage inventory levels, ordering processes, and waste reduction efforts.
• Ensure compliance with all food safety, health, and brand standards.
• Utilize POS and reporting tools to track sales, analyze performance, and support business decisions.

Skills & Qualifications

• Previous management experience in a food service or fast-casual environment strongly preferred.
• Strong leadership and team-building capabilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of food safety regulations; ServSafe certification preferred.
• Exceptional customer service skills and passion for hospitality.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Ability to multitask and thrive in a high-energy environment.
• Comfortable using basic technology for ordering, inventory, and sales reporting.
