Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Low Voltage Installer to join our team, responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting low voltage systems across various commercial and residential projects. This role requires a detail-oriented professional with a strong understanding of electrical systems, cabling, and security solutions. The ideal candidate will have experience in field service, system design, and working with a variety of low voltage technologies including CCTV, fire alarms, sensors, and access control systems. This position offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects that enhance security and communication infrastructure.
Duties
- Install and configure low voltage systems such as CCTV surveillance, alarm systems, fire alarms, sensors, and access control devices.
- Read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals to ensure accurate system setup.
- Run cabling through walls, ceilings, and conduits using power tools and hand tools while adhering to NEC standards.
- Connect and troubleshoot computer networking equipment, remote access software, and telecommunication systems.
- Perform system testing to verify proper operation of security systems including IDS and surveillance cameras.
- Collaborate with construction teams during building phases to ensure seamless integration of low voltage infrastructure.
- Provide on-site field service support for system commissioning, maintenance, and repairs.
- Document installation procedures and system configurations for client records.
- Educate clients on system operation and basic troubleshooting techniques.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a service technician or installer specializing in low voltage systems such as security alarms, CCTV, sensors, or telecommunication networks.
- Strong electrical knowledge including cabling techniques and NEC compliance standards.
- Familiarity with schematics, system design principles, and remote access software tools.
- Hands-on experience with power tools, hand tools, and construction practices related to electrical installations.
- Knowledge of computer hardware integration within security or surveillance systems.
- Ability to read technical schematics and wiring diagrams accurately.
- Mechanical knowledge related to installation procedures in various environments.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex security or communication systems efficiently.

Pay: $ $65.00 per hour
