Equipment Operator

Overview
We are seeking a skilled Equipment Operator to join our construction and heavy machinery team. The ideal candidate will have experience operating a variety of construction and industrial equipment, including loaders, excavators, cranes, and trucks. This role requires a strong understanding of safety protocols and mechanical systems, with the ability to work efficiently on diverse construction projects. Candidates with construction site experience and mechanical knowledge are highly preferred. The position offers an opportunity to work on challenging projects using state-of-the-art equipment such as Caterpillar machinery, backhoes, dozers, and tanker trucks.

Duties

• Operate heavy equipment including dozers, loaders, backhoes, excavators, cranes, and front loader trucks with precision and adherence to safety standards
• Manage various types of trucks such as dump trucks, water trucks, roll-off trucks, and tanker vehicles for material transport and site management
• Conduct routine inspections and maintenance checks on machinery to ensure optimal performance
• Assist in the setup and teardown of construction sites by moving materials and equipment as needed
• Follow project plans and specifications to execute tasks efficiently while maintaining safety regulations
• Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time and within scope
• Maintain accurate records of equipment usage and maintenance activities

Experience

• Proven experience operating heavy construction equipment such as dozers, loaders, backhoes, excavators, cranes, and front loader trucks
• Construction site experience is highly desirable
• Mechanical knowledge related to heavy machinery maintenance and troubleshooting
• Experience with commercial driving including operation of dump trucks, tanker trucks, water trucks, or roll-off trucks
• Familiarity with concrete mixers and farm machinery is a plus
• Ability to work in various weather conditions on active construction sites
• Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) preferred but not mandatory for all roles depending on equipment operated
