Production Manager

Overview
We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Production Manager to oversee daily operations within our manufacturing facility. The Production Manager is responsible for managing the production locations and operating the warehouse in the assigned region, ensuring the functioning of the production locations and operating the warehouse, realizing the intended development and realizing the intended output for customers. The NA production manager is a member of the JPA local management team (LMT), where various managers from different disciplines (sales, product management, finance) come together to coordinate the functioning and results of the JPA entity. In addition, the job holder, on paper, acts as general manager for JPA (signatory authority).
The NA production manager leads the PPL/PPO LMT to coordinate prodution and warehouse activities in Lorain, OH and oversight on our Portland, OR location.

Duties

• Supervise and coordinate all aspects of manufacturing operations on the production floor.
• Oversee assembly line activities, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and quality standards.
• Manage inventory levels, coordinate with warehouse staff, and oversee the movement of materials using forklifts and power tools.
• Implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
• Lead, train, and evaluate production staff, including team leaders and operators.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and conduct regular safety audits.
• Maintain accurate documentation related to production metrics, equipment maintenance, and safety reports.
• Troubleshoot mechanical issues with equipment using hand tools and mechanical knowledge.
• Collaborate with engineering teams for equipment upgrades or repairs as needed.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in manufacturing or factory settings, preferably in a supervisory or managerial role.
• Make informed decisions using both factual information and emotional intelligence.
• Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience using hand tools, power tools, and assembly line equipment.
• Warehouse experience including forklift operation is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with manufacturing processes such as assembly, machining, or fabrication.
• Ability to lead a team effectively while maintaining a focus on safety and quality standards.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of safety regulations relevant to manufacturing facilities.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $110, $120,000.00 per year
