Sr. Financial Analyst, Procurement

Summary:

The Sr. Financial Analyst, Procurement is a key position within our procurement organization. It supports the strategy and analysis for procurement of chemical raw materials, indirects, and logistics services. This position is part of the Global Analytics Team which supports approximately $1.8 billion of commodity spend. A key function of this role will to be support P/L and Inf/Def analysis with report out to senior business leaders. This professional will have an advanced understanding of SAP/ERP and Microsoft Excel including PivotTables, VLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH, and Data Tables, and will be familiar with trade flow analysis, bid analysis, and e-auction tools. The Analysts role will work on special projects and report back to the VP of Sourcing as needed.

Please note that this role requires on-site presence five days per week, Monday through Friday.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Support analysis for Make or Buy, material, logistic, or labor purchases
  • Provide strategic analysis and information for the development of short-term and long-term strategies for regional and global procurement
  • Support negotiation strategy development and participate in major supplier negotiations
  • Leader of preparation and execution of the global SOX report, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery of all required documentation and controls testing
  • Developed procurement financial tools to track and calculate global potential tariff impacts across materials purchased
  • Develop a tracking tool for direct procurement savings linked to EBITDA, leveraging global productivity efforts
  • Support regional and global productivity processes and prepare global productivity reports for senior leadership
  • Load global pricing into SAP for simulated cost analysis
  • Support the Global Trade Compliance team with relevant data and analytics upon request
  • Own Procurement Data and ensure reporting integrity to improve and enable real-time, accurate, and automated reporting
  • Aligned with finance, take direct ownership of procurement inf/def analysis and reporting supporting VP of Procurement
  • Support and drive continuous process improvement/standardization in procurement processes and managed spending and commodities
  • Manage appropriate purchasing control functions and support global procedure development
  • Collaborate with internal partners to accomplish procurement-specific projects/tasks by forming effective relationships, internally and externally
  • Track key procurement performance metrics
  • Globally communicate and report up to and including senior company leadership
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

The following are required for the role

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 4+ years of related data analytics experience supporting a business function (Finance, Operations, Procurement, or Supply Chain).
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills.
  • Superb verbal, writing, and presentation skills, with a demonstrated ability to capture key thoughts and communicate concisely; at all levels of the organization including the Executive Leadership Team.
  • Ability to provide insightful market analysis, and interpretation of raw materials, indirect commodities, or logistics services.
  • Strong financial acumen.
  • Demonstrated analytical, problem-solving, organization, and project management skills.
  • Frequent use and general knowledge of industry practices, techniques, and standards. General application of financial concepts, and principles.
  • Motivated team player with positive and high energy.

The following are preferred for the role

  • 5+ years of Procurement, Finance, or Supply Chain experience.
  • Experience within a chemical or pharmaceutical company.

What We Offer:

Base Pay Range: $86,000 - $125,950

The actua l salary offered i s determined by factors including but not limited to education, experience, skill set s, and geography. Local geographic pay differentials may not be reflected in the above pay range and will be discussed with you by a member of the HR team when applicable . Additionally, this role is eligible for incentive or sales variable compensation payments. The amount of these incentives is based on the terms of the Company's incentive plans, the Company's financial performance, and/or individual employee job performance.
