Salary: Circa £45,000 (dependent on experience)
What You’ll Be DoingAs a Manufacturing Technology Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in driving innovation and efficiency within our Submarines programme. Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading Manufacturing Technology projects from inception to implementation, including research, proof of concepts, and pilot programs.
- Collaborating with a dynamic team to enhance manufacturing processes.
- Engaging with internal and external stakeholders, including inter-business teams and suppliers.
- Utilizing problem-solving techniques to advance technology solutions.
- Creating and reviewing Manufacturing Technology documentation to ensure project success.
- Developing business justifications for new technologies and assessing their cost benefits.
- Supporting the creation of technology roadmaps.
Essential:
- Level 4 Qualification in a related field or equivalent experience.
- Experience in welding and/or fabrication within heavy industry.
- Proven track record in process improvements.
- Ability to engage effectively with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
- Familiarity with Technology Readiness Levels (TRL).
Desirable:
- Experience in developing business cases or justifications.
- Knowledge of the Catapult network.
- Background in Research & Development activities.
