Senior Principal Engineer – One Shots at Raytheon summary: Senior Principal Engineer – One Shots is an onsite, U.citizen-required engineering role at Raytheon (RTX) focused on design, development, testing, and supplier oversight of one-shot devices and solid propulsion systems for defense applications. The Energetics and Propulsion Department is an engineering organization in the Hardware Engineering Directorate. The department is seeking to hire a Principal Engineer - One shots. Apply and/or develop advanced one shot devices technologies using scientific principles, theories and concepts implementation into products. Provide technical oversight to various subcontractor Frequently interface with the customer to identify user needs serve as the day-to-day liaison to the programs concerning resource technical assignments Support failure analysis and corrective action through redesign of failed one shot device components or systems Present one shot device design models and supporting analyses/test results to internal and customer review meetings Proposal and cost preparation, requirements definition, and one shot device subsystems analysis, test and verification; The Principal Engineer – One Shots job is in Tucson, AZ and the position is onsite. Typically requires a Bachelor in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience. An advanced degree in a related field may be substituted for additional years of experience. Twelve (12) or more years of directly related experience in propulsive technology and its application to solid or liquid, and/or mono propellant propulsion systems Project engineering skills and experience using Earned Value Management System Demonstrated success as a proposal/cost account manager as well as project/team leader Willingness to travel, including internationally, to provide supplier support Experience with DoD customers and/or associated contractor executives and technical leadership Our values drive our actions, behaviors, and performance with a vision for a safer, more connected world.
