Salary: Starting at £54,793+, depending on your experience.
What You’ll Be Doing:As a key player in our team, you will:
- Lead the interface for BAE Systems DASS team activities, supporting the introduction of a cutting-edge Electronic Warfare system.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders, both within BAE Systems and internationally, to ensure successful program delivery.
- Develop and maintain the development program plan while supporting business management activities and cost challenges.
- Deepen your understanding of DASS (Typhoon and the broader landscape) and its integration into the wider program context.
- Assist the DASS engineering manager in addressing emergent technical issues and new requirements.
Essential:
- A degree in a STEM subject or equivalent experience in an aircraft engineering project or related field.
- The ability to communicate complex data clearly to a variety of stakeholders, from strategic overviews to technical details.
- A solid understanding of Defensive Aids Sub-system (DASS), Electronic Warfare (EW), and Sensors, along with their integration into weapon systems.
- Proactive problem-solving skills to identify and resolve issues impacting programs, escalating as necessary.
- Eligibility for clearance up to SECRET on UK national and multi-national programs.

In this role, you will gain a comprehensive understanding of the Typhoon aircraft and its avionics/sensors. You’ll have the chance to lead the introduction of a new Electronic Warfare solution into the Typhoon DASS, working closely with a high-performing engineering team and subject matter experts.
