SHE Advisor – Dreadnought

Location: Barrow-in-Furness (Full-time, on-site)

Salary: Circa £44,000

As a vital member of our team, you will:

• Provide timely and consistent advice on SHE standards and legislation to support all organizational activities.
• Foster a safety culture within the Submarines business and drive the SHE improvement program.
• Empower build operations teams through the SHE plan and committee framework, ensuring effective governance and assurance.
• Transition from reactive to proactive SHE processes, focusing on a zero-accident goal.
• Engage with stakeholders including functional leads, regulators, contractors, and customers to ensure accountability.
• Support audits and investigations by producing comprehensive reports with root cause analysis.

Essential:

• NEBOSH general certificate or equivalent.
• Experience in high-hazard environments as a SHE professional.
• Ability to positively influence stakeholders in planning, management, and assurance activities.
• Commitment to compliance and continuous improvement in health, safety, environment, and wellbeing.
• Practical experience in managing Health and Safety risks in high-risk settings.

Desirable:

• Audit and investigation skills.
• NEBOSH Diploma.
