Senior SHE Advisor

Location: Portsmouth Naval Base/Broad Oak – Onsite only (additional travel may be required)

Salary: Up to £50,000 (dependent on skills and experience)

As a Senior SHE Advisor, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing our Safety, Health, and Environment (SHE) performance across various sites. Your responsibilities will include:

• Driving Improvements: Lead proactive risk-reduction initiatives, coordinate with key stakeholders, and ensure robust implementation of policies and management systems.
• Championing Innovation: Support transformational change programs that embed continuous improvement and strengthen risk management.
• Engaging Stakeholders: Influence and coach stakeholders at all levels to integrate SHE considerations into decision-making and project planning.
• Providing Assurance: Deliver clear, evidence-based compliance assessments and enable leaders to take decisive action.
• Managing Deliverables: Oversee workload, budgets, and timelines while providing insightful reporting to senior stakeholders.

We’re looking for someone who brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the table:

• Hold one or more QCF/NQF Level 6 (or higher) qualifications: NEBOSH Diploma, relevant Health/Environmental Degree, or equivalent.
• Experience in applying health and safety knowledge within complex operational environments, with a proven track record of leading improvements.
• Strong understanding of contractor management, governance, and assurance.
• Proven ability to lead end-to-end risk-reduction projects, bringing together diverse stakeholders.
• Exceptional communication skills to influence and build strong relationships at all levels.
• A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with the ability to identify emerging issues and take ownership.
