We are seeking a skilled Warehouse Technician for our facility in Provo, Utah. This role is essential for maintaining the operational integrity and functionality of our warehouse equipment and infrastructure, supporting our complex logistics operations. You will be responsible for performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting equipment malfunctions, and ensuring all warehouse machinery operates efficiently and safely. A strong mechanical aptitude, problem-solving skills, and a commitment to upholding high standards of safety are crucial. This position plays a vital role in preventing downtime and ensuring the smooth flow of goods.
Responsibilities:
- Perform preventative maintenance on warehouse equipment, including forklifts, conveyors, and palletizers.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues with warehouse machinery.
- Respond promptly to equipment malfunction calls and troubleshoot problems to minimize downtime.
- Ensure all equipment is operating in compliance with manufacturer specifications and company safety standards.
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance and repair activities.
- Assist in the installation and setup of new equipment.
- Follow all lockout/tagout procedures and other safety protocols.
- Wear appropriate PPE at all times while performing duties.
- Support the broader logistics team by ensuring equipment availability.
- May involve occasional lifting of parts or equipment up to 50 pounds.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in mechanics or electrical fields preferred.
- Proven experience as a maintenance technician, mechanic, or in a similar role, preferably in a warehouse or industrial setting.
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
- Proficiency with hand and power tools.
- Understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
- Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to all regulations.
- Good organizational and record-keeping skills.
