Seeking a meticulous Inventory Control Specialist for our Houston, Texas facility. This role is fundamental to the integrity of our stock and the efficiency of our overall Logistics operations. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records, conducting regular cycle counts, investigating discrepancies, and implementing procedures to minimize stock inaccuracies and loss. Ensuring the proper organization and storage of inventory is also a key aspect of this position. While this role may involve some physical activity, including occasional Lifting , the primary focus is on accuracy, analysis, and data management. Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventories.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate inventory records in the WMS.
- Implement and improve inventory control procedures.
- Monitor stock levels and identify slow-moving or obsolete inventory.
- Ensure proper organization, labeling, and storage of inventory.
- Assist with receiving and shipping processes as needed to verify counts.
- Adhere to all company Safety guidelines.
- Utilize and maintain required PPE .
- Generate reports on inventory status and accuracy.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree preferred.
- Proven experience in inventory control or a similar warehouse role.
- Proficiency with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and inventory software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to perform tasks requiring moderate physical activity, including occasional Lifting up to 30 lbs.
- Understanding of Logistics and supply chain principles.
- Commitment to following Safety procedures and using PPE .
