We are looking for a dedicated Material Handler to join our logistics team in Phoenix, Arizona. This role is essential for the smooth operation of our warehouse, involving the physical movement and organization of goods. The ideal candidate will be energetic, reliable, and possess a strong commitment to safety and efficiency. You will be responsible for tasks such as loading, unloading, sorting, and transporting materials within the facility. This position requires the ability to perform manual labor, work in a team environment, and adhere to all safety protocols. Your contribution is key to maintaining our high standards in logistics and supply chain management.
Responsibilities:
- Load and unload trucks, containers, and other vehicles with various materials.
- Move materials within the warehouse using pallet jacks, hand trucks, and other equipment.
- Sort, organize, and stack materials according to established procedures.
- Operate material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Inspect materials for damage and report any discrepancies.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
- Follow all company policies, including those related to lifting, and the proper use of PPE.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock rotation as required.
- Collaborate with other warehouse associates and logistics personnel.
- Ensure that all tasks are completed accurately and on time to support overall logistics efficiency.
- Report any safety concerns or equipment malfunctions immediately to supervisors.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role is preferred.
- Ability to perform continuous physical labor, including frequent lifting of up to 50 lbs.
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations and basic logistics principles.
- Commitment to adhering to all safety regulations and procedures.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
- Good teamwork and communication skills.
- Must be reliable, punctual, and have a strong work ethic.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including occasional overtime.
- Must wear required PPE, including safety shoes and vests.
- Attention to detail and a focus on accuracy in all tasks.
