We are seeking a highly skilled Warehouse Technician to join our advanced facility in Miami, Florida. This role requires a blend of technical expertise and operational knowledge to maintain and improve warehouse systems and equipment. You will be responsible for ensuring the optimal functioning of our logistics infrastructure, including machinery, conveyor systems, and automated equipment. Your contributions will be crucial to maintaining efficiency, safety, and productivity within our distribution center. This is a fantastic opportunity to leverage your technical skills in a fast-paced logistics environment.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on warehouse equipment, including forklifts, conveyor belts, and automated systems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical and electrical issues to minimize downtime.
- Ensure all equipment is operating safely and efficiently, adhering to manufacturer specifications and company standards.
- Conduct preventative maintenance to identify and address potential problems before they arise.
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair activities.
- Work closely with the logistics team to coordinate equipment availability and minimize disruption to operations.
- Follow all safety regulations and ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.
- Properly use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required for specific tasks.
- Assist with the installation and setup of new equipment.
- Stay updated on new technologies and best practices in warehouse maintenance and logistics.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or certification in a relevant technical field is highly desirable.
- Proven experience as a maintenance technician in a warehouse or industrial setting.
- Proficiency in mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
- Experience with troubleshooting and repairing automated warehouse equipment.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures and OSHA regulations.
- Ability to read schematics and technical manuals.
- Must be able to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 pounds, climbing, and working in various environmental conditions.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
