Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Warehouse Coordinator to oversee operations at our Washington, D.C. facility. This leadership role is vital to managing our daily logistics activities, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and Safety. You will be responsible for coordinating warehouse staff, managing inventory levels, overseeing the receiving and shipping processes, and ensuring compliance with all Safety regulations. This includes implementing and enforcing Safety protocols, conducting regular Safety audits, and ensuring the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Strong organizational and communication skills are essential for managing schedules, directing workflow, and liaising with other departments and external partners. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in warehouse management and a deep understanding of logistics operations. Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of warehouse staff.
  • Manage inventory levels and conduct regular cycle counts.
  • Oversee the efficient receiving, storage, and dispatch of goods.
  • Ensure compliance with all warehouse Safety policies and procedures.
  • Train new employees on warehouse operations and Safety practices.
  • Maintain warehouse organization and cleanliness to optimize workflow.
  • Implement and enforce the proper use of PPE for all staff.
  • Manage equipment maintenance schedules and coordinate repairs.
  • Liaise with suppliers, carriers, and other stakeholders.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in Logistics or related field preferred.
  • Extensive experience in warehouse operations and logistics management.
  • Proven leadership and team supervision skills.
  • Strong knowledge of inventory control systems and warehouse management software.
  • Excellent understanding of Safety regulations and best practices in a warehouse environment.
  • Ability to perform tasks requiring moderate Lifting and physical exertion.
  • Exceptional organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
