As a Shipping Clerk, you will be responsible for preparing shipping documents, coordinating with carriers, verifying order details, and ensuring that packages are dispatched correctly and on time. The ideal candidate possesses strong organizational skills, a keen eye for detail, and a commitment to operational excellence. You will work within a fast-paced warehouse environment, collaborating with colleagues to achieve daily targets. Responsibilities:
- Generate and process all necessary shipping documentation, including labels and bills of lading.
- Coordinate with domestic and international shipping carriers to schedule pickups and track shipments.
- Verify order accuracy and ensure correct items and quantities are prepared for dispatch.
- Inspect packages for completeness and damage prior to shipment.
- Maintain organized and up-to-date shipping records.
- Communicate effectively with internal departments and external partners regarding shipment status.
- Ensure compliance with all transportation regulations and company policies.
- Strictly adhere to safety procedures, including proper lifting techniques and mandatory PPE usage.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as assigned to support overall logistics operations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a shipping clerk or in a similar logistics role is preferred.
- Proficiency in using shipping software and carrier management systems.
- Excellent data entry skills and attention to detail.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds occasionally.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to upholding a safe and efficient working environment.
