Join our vibrant team as a Material Handler in Nashville, Tennessee! We are looking for a proactive individual to manage the flow of materials within our busy distribution center. This role is essential for maintaining operational efficiency and ensuring that materials are moved safely and effectively to their intended destinations. You will play a key role in supporting production and **logistics** processes.
Responsibilities:
- Receive, identify, and stage incoming materials.
- Transport raw materials, finished goods, and equipment throughout the facility using pallet jacks, forklifts, and other material handling equipment.
- Load and unload trucks efficiently and safely.
- Verify the accuracy of material counts and reconcile discrepancies.
- Maintain an organized and clean work area, adhering to all **safety** regulations.
- Follow proper procedures for **Lifting** and material handling to prevent injuries.
- Operate equipment in a **safe** and efficient manner, reporting any malfunctions immediately.
- Participate in inventory management tasks, including cycle counting.
- Ensure all **PPE** is worn correctly and that **safety** standards are met at all times.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role is preferred.
- Proven ability to operate material handling equipment.
- Demonstrated understanding of warehouse **safety** procedures and **PPE** requirements.
- Physical stamina and ability to handle **Lifting** of up to 60 lbs.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced **logistics** environment.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
