General Cleaner

Job Summary
We are seeking a retired/seasoned, reliable, and detail-oriented General Cleaner to maintain cleanliness and safety across various facilities. The ideal candidate will have experience in commercial, residential, or industrial cleaning, with a strong focus on quality and efficiency. This role is essential in ensuring a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for clients and staff alike. The position offers an opportunity to develop skills in janitorial services, floor care, custodial tasks, and facilities maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Perform general cleaning duties, including but not limited to sweeping, mopping, dusting, laundry, and trash removal in designated areas
• Conduct detailed cleaning of restrooms, kitchens, and common areas to meet health and safety standards
• Operate cleaning equipment such as vacuum floor cleaners to maintain high-quality floor care
• Handle custodial tasks, including window washing, carpet cleaning, and surface sanitation
• Assist with minor maintenance tasks like replacing light bulbs or fixtures as needed
• Follow established safety protocols during all cleaning activities
• Maintain supplies inventory and inform management when stock needs replenishing
• Ensure all work areas are kept organized and free of hazards

Requirements

• Proven experience in janitorial, custodial, or industrial cleaning preferred
• Knowledge of floor care techniques, including buffing and polishing
• Familiarity with commercial cleaning equipment and supplies
• Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness standards
• Excellent time management skills to complete assigned duties efficiently
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Prior experience in facilities maintenance or porter roles is a plus
• MUST HAVE DEPENDABLE TRANSPORTATION. This position is for 3 Group Homes
