The Role

We're looking for a senior
Content Director

to lead technical storytelling for some of the most innovative companies in electronics and advanced technology. This role blends hands-on writing and editing with strategic consulting, quality leadership, and mentorship. You'll shape content strategies, develop high-impact technical narratives, and ensure world-class execution across channels.

What You'll Do

• Lead content strategy for key technology client accounts, partnering closely with client leads and senior stakeholders

• Consult on content across multiple channels: web, editorial, PR, social media and community and influencer marketing

• Write, edit, and oversee production of high-value technical content (white papers, articles, thought leadership, blogs, press releases)

• Set briefs for freelance writers and own quality control end-to-end

• Provide editorial leadership in client meetings and strategy sessions

• Conduct competitive and market content analysis

• Mentor junior team members on technical subjects and best practices

• Help grow and manage Strata's network of specialist freelance technical writers

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years of experience writing for technical audiences in electronics or closely related industries

• Proven expertise in long-form technical and thought leadership content

• Strong editorial judgment and command of style, structure, and clarity (AP Style preferred)

• Ability to confidently engage senior client stakeholders in a consultative role

• Excellent collaboration, communication, and presentation skills

• Deep technical credibility gained through engineering education, in-house industry roles, or technical journalism

• Experience with visual content (video, infographics) is a plus
