We are looking for a dedicated Material Handler to join our team in Minneapolis, Minnesota. This role is critical to the efficiency and effectiveness of our warehouse operations and the overall Logistics chain. You will be responsible for the safe and timely movement of goods within the facility. This includes operating various types of material handling equipment, such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks. Tasks will involve receiving, unloading, stocking, and preparing materials for shipment. A strong emphasis is placed on workplace Safety , and all employees are required to use the provided PPE . The position involves considerable physical activity, including frequent Lifting of heavy items and prolonged standing. Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment.
- Load and unload incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Stage materials for production, shipping, or receiving.
- Conduct daily inspections of equipment.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Adhere strictly to all Safety protocols and procedures.
- Wear and properly use all assigned PPE .
- Assist with inventory counts and stock placement.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards immediately.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure operational efficiency.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience operating material handling equipment is a plus.
- Physical ability to perform tasks requiring frequent Lifting of up to 60 lbs.
- Familiarity with warehouse procedures and Logistics .
- Commitment to maintaining a high standard of Safety and proper use of PPE .
- Reliable attendance and punctuality.
