Are you an experienced logistics professional ready to take on a leadership role? We are looking for a Warehouse Coordinator to manage daily operations in our Virginia Beach, Virginia facility. This position involves overseeing inventory, coordinating shipments, managing staff, and ensuring the efficient flow of goods. You will be responsible for maintaining high standards of productivity, safety, and accuracy within the warehouse. This is a critical role requiring strong organizational and leadership skills.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage all warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, and shipping.
- Coordinate with transportation providers to schedule and track inbound and outbound shipments.
- Manage warehouse staff, providing direction, training, and performance feedback.
- Ensure accurate inventory management and conduct regular cycle counts.
- Implement and enforce all safety procedures and protocols, including the correct use of PPE.
- Maintain the physical condition of the warehouse and oversee the maintenance of equipment.
- Optimize warehouse layout and workflows for maximum efficiency.
- Process necessary documentation for shipments and receipts.
- Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues as they arise.
- Ensure compliance with all company policies and industry regulations related to logistics.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
- Proven experience in warehouse management or a similar logistics role.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication abilities.
- Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory software.
- Ability to perform lifting up to 50 lbs.
- In-depth knowledge of warehouse safety regulations and best practices.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Familiarity with various logistics and supply chain methodologies.
