We are hiring a motivated Picker/Packer to join our bustling warehouse team in Miami, Florida. In this dual-role position, you will be instrumental in ensuring our customers receive their orders accurately and efficiently. Your responsibilities will span both picking items from inventory and preparing them for shipment. This requires a blend of speed, accuracy, and attention to detail. You'll work with various products, utilizing tools and technology to fulfill orders correctly. This role is key to our logistics operations, directly impacting customer satisfaction and the efficiency of our distribution center. A commitment to safety and organized work habits is essential.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick customer orders using scanning devices and pick lists.
- Locate products within the warehouse, ensuring correct items and quantities are selected.
- Inspect picked items for quality and accuracy.
- Pack items securely and efficiently into appropriate shipping containers.
- Generate shipping labels and ensure proper documentation.
- Process orders in the warehouse management system (WMS).
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work station and warehouse environment.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and utilize required PPE.
- Assist with inventory management and stock replenishment as needed.
- Operate basic warehouse equipment safely.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency of the logistics flow.
- Must be able to perform regular Lifting of packages up to 40 pounds.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a Picker/Packer or in a similar warehouse role is advantageous.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in order fulfillment.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet performance targets.
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods, walk, bend, and perform moderate Lifting.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Familiarity with shipping processes and WMS is a plus.
- Commitment to workplace safety and proper use of PPE.
- Reliability and a strong work ethic are essential.
- Interest in the logistics and e-commerce industries.
