We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Order Picker to join our dynamic logistics team in Minneapolis, Minnesota. As an Order Picker, you will be responsible for accurately and efficiently retrieving items from warehouse shelves to fulfill customer orders. This role is crucial to our supply chain operations and requires meticulous attention to detail. You will work in a fast-paced environment, ensuring that orders are picked correctly and prepared for shipment in a timely manner. Your primary focus will be on maintaining high levels of productivity while adhering to all safety protocols. This position involves significant physical activity, including bending, stooping, and reaching, as well as regular lifting of packages. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick customer orders using a handheld scanner or other designated equipment.
- Locate and retrieve items from warehouse shelves and storage locations.
- Verify product information and quantities against order details.
- Package items securely for shipment, ensuring no damage occurs.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all housekeeping standards.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of PPE.
- Operate warehouse equipment, such as pallet jacks or forklifts, as needed and trained.
- Meet or exceed daily picking performance targets.
- Report any discrepancies or damages to the supervisor immediately.
- Participate in inventory counts and other warehouse duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous warehouse or order picking experience preferred.
- Ability to perform repetitive lifting, up to 50 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Familiarity with warehouse safety procedures and the importance of PPE.
- Basic understanding of logistics and inventory management concepts.
