Are you a certified and experienced Forklift Operator seeking a new opportunity? Join our dynamic logistics team in Atlanta, Georgia! We are looking for skilled individuals to operate forklifts safely and efficiently, managing the movement of goods throughout our warehouse. This position is key to ensuring the smooth flow of operations, from receiving raw materials to dispatching finished goods. A strong commitment to Safety and operational excellence is essential for success in this role.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts (sit-down, stand-up, reach truck) to move, stack, and retrieve materials and products.
- Load and unload inbound and outbound shipments accurately and efficiently.
- Transport inventory to and from production areas, staging zones, and storage locations.
- Conduct daily pre-shift forklift inspections and report any maintenance needs.
- Ensure proper placement and organization of inventory within designated areas.
- Adhere strictly to all company Safety policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Properly use and maintain required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Assist with inventory counts and stock verification as needed.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work environment, free from hazards.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members to ensure seamless logistics.
Qualifications:
- Possession of a valid forklift operator certification and demonstrated proficiency.
- At least 1-2 years of relevant forklift operating experience in a warehouse setting.
- Solid understanding of warehouse operations and logistics.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally.
- Keen awareness of Safety regulations and protocols.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and collaboratively in a team.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- High school diploma or GED required.
