Job Summary:
We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Inventory Control Specialist to join our team in Indianapolis, Indiana. This role is vital for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our warehouse inventory. You will be responsible for implementing and managing inventory control procedures, conducting cycle counts, investigating discrepancies, and ensuring optimal stock levels. Your expertise will directly impact our logistics efficiency and customer satisfaction. A keen eye for detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving are essential for success.
Responsibilities:
  • Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventories to ensure accuracy.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies by analyzing records and performing physical checks.
  • Implement and maintain inventory control procedures and best practices.
  • Monitor stock levels and generate reports on inventory status, turnover, and aging.
  • Identify and report slow-moving or obsolete inventory.
  • Ensure proper organization and labeling of all inventory items.
  • Collaborate with warehouse and logistics teams to improve inventory accuracy.
  • Adhere to all safety regulations, including the correct use of PPE and safe Lifting techniques.
  • Operate material handling equipment safely as needed.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives related to inventory management.

Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as an Inventory Control Specialist or in a similar warehouse/logistics role.
  • Strong understanding of inventory management principles and techniques.
  • Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory software.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to perform accurate cycle counts and reconcile discrepancies.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks.
  • Commitment to Safety and maintaining an orderly stock environment.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field is a plus.
