We are seeking a dedicated Order Picker for our facility in Indianapolis, Indiana. This role is fundamental to our warehouse operations, focusing on the accurate and efficient retrieval of items from our inventory to fulfill customer orders. As an Order Picker, you will be instrumental in maintaining the flow of goods, ensuring that the right products are selected, staged, and prepared for shipment in a timely manner. The ideal candidate will possess excellent attention to detail, be capable of physical work including regular Lifting, and demonstrate a strong commitment to workplace Safety. Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately select and retrieve items from warehouse shelves based on pick lists or electronic scanners.
- Verify product codes and quantities to ensure order accuracy.
- Transport picked items to designated packing or staging areas.
- Operate equipment such as pallet jacks and hand trucks safely.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Report any inventory discrepancies or damaged items immediately.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the correct use of PPE.
- Meet established picking performance targets.
- Participate in inventory cycle counts as needed.
- Work collaboratively with team members to achieve departmental goals.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
- Previous warehouse experience, especially as an order picker, is a plus.
- Ability to perform moderate to heavy physical tasks, including frequent Lifting of up to 45 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
- Basic understanding of warehouse logistics and inventory control principles.
- Must be able to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods.
- Ability to read and interpret pick tickets or scanner data.
- Reliable and punctual attendance.
- Willingness to work in a dynamic warehouse environment.
- Must adhere to all safety regulations and wear required PPE.
