Join our dynamic logistics team in Sacramento, California, as a Material Handler! We are looking for dedicated individuals to assist in the efficient movement and management of materials within our warehouse. This role is integral to our daily operations, ensuring that goods are handled safely and effectively from receiving to shipping. You will be involved in a variety of tasks, including loading, unloading, sorting, and stocking. Responsibilities:
- Receive and unload incoming materials and shipments.
- Transport materials to and from designated areas using pallet jacks, hand trucks, or other equipment.
- Sort, organize, and stack items according to established procedures.
- Prepare outgoing shipments by consolidating, labeling, and staging materials.
- Assist with inventory management, including stock put-away and retrieval.
- Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe work environment, adhering to all Safety guidelines.
- Wear and use appropriate PPE at all times during work activities.
- Operate warehouse equipment safely and effectively (training provided).
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth workflow and meet operational targets for our logistics needs.
- Report any safety hazards or equipment issues promptly.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or material handling role is beneficial.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including frequent Lifting of up to 50 lbs.
- Basic understanding of warehouse Safety practices and the importance of PPE.
- Strong work ethic and reliability.
- Good communication skills and ability to follow instructions.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Familiarity with basic logistics concepts is a plus.
