We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Material Handler to join our dynamic logistics team in Columbus, Ohio. As a Material Handler, you will play a crucial role in the efficient movement of goods within our warehouse facility. Your primary responsibilities will include receiving, stocking, picking, and preparing materials for shipment. This position requires a strong understanding of warehouse operations and a commitment to maintaining a safe and organized work environment. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, possess excellent physical stamina, and be able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. We are looking for individuals who are reliable, proactive, and eager to contribute to our operational success. This role is integral to our supply chain, ensuring timely and accurate handling of all inbound and outbound materials. Attention to detail is paramount to prevent errors and maintain inventory integrity. You will be expected to follow all company policies and procedures, with a particular emphasis on safety protocols. Regular training will be provided to ensure you are up-to-date with best practices in material handling and logistics. Your contribution will directly impact our ability to meet customer demands and maintain our reputation for excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Loading and unloading trucks, ensuring accurate inventory counts.
- Moving materials to and from designated storage areas using appropriate equipment.
- Picking and packing orders accurately and efficiently.
- Maintaining a clean and organized work environment, adhering to all safety regulations.
- Conducting routine inspections of equipment to ensure proper functioning and safety.
- Assisting with inventory management and cycle counts.
- Adhering to strict PPE requirements at all times.
- Performing tasks that involve significant lifting and physical exertion.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Prior warehouse or logistics experience is a plus. Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including frequent lifting of up to 50 lbs. Familiarity with warehouse equipment. Strong commitment to safety and willingness to follow all guidelines. Excellent teamwork and communication skills. Must be able to stand for extended periods and work in a fast-paced environment.
