We are hiring a skilled Forklift Operator for our growing distribution center in Boise, Idaho. In this role, you will be responsible for operating forklifts to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. Your expertise will ensure the efficient and safe handling of materials throughout the warehouse, supporting our overall logistics operations. This position demands precision, a keen eye for safety, and the ability to work productively in a dynamic warehouse environment. You will be expected to inspect equipment before use, maintain a clean and orderly work area, and comply with all safety regulations. A valid forklift certification is required. We are committed to providing a safe working environment, so adherence to all safety guidelines and the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is non-negotiable. Understanding and practicing correct lifting techniques when necessary is also important. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts (e.g., sit-down, stand-up, reach truck) safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and into storage areas.
- Move pallets of goods to and from various warehouse locations.
- Perform regular inspections of forklift equipment and report any maintenance needs.
- Accurately record movement of goods and update inventory records.
- Stack and arrange products in designated areas.
- Assist with order picking and put-away processes.
- Adhere strictly to all safety procedures, including the use of PPE and safe operating practices.
- Contribute to maintaining a clean and organized warehouse environment.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid forklift operator certification.
- Proven experience operating various types of forklifts.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures.
- Knowledge of logistics and material handling.
- Ability to work independently and follow instructions.
- Commitment to wearing required PPE.
