We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Picker/Packer to join our dynamic warehouse team in Atlanta, Georgia. This role is crucial to our logistics operations, ensuring that customer orders are accurately picked, packed, and prepared for shipment. You will be responsible for navigating the warehouse, locating items using an RF scanner, and ensuring product integrity throughout the picking and packing process. Attention to detail is paramount to minimize errors and maintain high customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick products from warehouse shelves based on order specifications.
- Use RF scanners to track inventory and update order status.
- Pack items securely and efficiently, ensuring products are protected during transit.
- Select appropriate packaging materials for various product types.
- Label packages with shipping information.
- Conduct quality checks on picked and packed items.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Assist with inventory counts and stock rotation as needed.
- Meet daily picking and packing quotas.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or distribution environment is a plus.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Proficient in basic math and reading comprehension.
- Familiarity with RF scanners and warehouse management systems is beneficial.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to follow instructions and safety guidelines.
- Must be able to perform lifting of up to 50 lbs.
- Commitment to workplace safety and the use of required PPE.
