Our Jacksonville, Florida warehouse is looking for a strong and dependable Material Handler to join our logistics team. You will be instrumental in moving, locating, relocating, stacking, and distributing inventory throughout the facility. This role requires physical strength, agility, and a keen awareness of safety procedures to prevent injuries and damage to goods. Your primary responsibilities will involve operating forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment to transport materials. Ensuring the correct handling and placement of inventory is critical for efficient warehouse operations. A solid understanding of warehouse logistics and workflow is beneficial. We place a high emphasis on employee safety, mandating strict adherence to all safety guidelines and the correct use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). This role involves significant physical exertion, including frequent and heavy lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods. You will work closely with receiving, shipping, and inventory control teams to ensure the smooth flow of products. Experience operating material handling equipment is preferred.
Responsibilities:
- Load and unload materials from trucks and other vehicles.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Move inventory between different areas of the warehouse.
- Stack and arrange materials in designated storage areas.
- Assist with receiving and put-away processes.
- Support shipping operations by staging materials for loading.
- Maintain inventory accuracy by ensuring proper handling and placement.
- Conduct daily inspections of material handling equipment.
- Adhere to all safety regulations, including proper lifting techniques and PPE usage.
- Keep the work area clean, organized, and free from obstructions.
