We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Warehouse Associate to join our dynamic team in Richmond, Virginia. This role is crucial to our daily operations, ensuring the efficient and accurate handling of goods within our distribution center. You will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping inventory. Responsibilities:
- Receive incoming shipments, verify contents against purchase orders, and inspect for damages.
- Accurately store and organize inventory in designated locations within the warehouse.
- Pick and pack orders according to customer specifications, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Prepare shipments for dispatch, including labeling, palletizing, and staging.
- Operate warehouse equipment, such as pallet jacks and forklifts (certification may be required or provided).
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to all housekeeping standards.
- Conduct regular inventory counts and assist with inventory control processes.
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures, including the proper use of PPE.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve daily operational goals.
- Perform other duties as assigned by warehouse management.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous warehouse or logistics experience is a plus.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including frequent lifting of up to 50 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Basic math and reading skills.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including occasional overtime.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) is advantageous.
- Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to all guidelines.
