We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Forklift Operator to join our dynamic logistics team in Houston, Texas. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating forklifts safely and efficiently to move materials throughout our warehouse facility. This role is crucial for maintaining the smooth flow of goods and ensuring timely order fulfillment. You will be involved in loading and unloading trucks, transporting materials to and from storage areas, and assisting with inventory management. A strong commitment to safety protocols and operational efficiency is paramount.
Responsibilities:
- Operate various types of forklifts, including sit-down, stand-up, and reach trucks, to move, stack, load, and unload materials.
- Perform pre-operation checks on forklifts to ensure they are in good working condition, reporting any issues immediately.
- Safely transport palletized goods and other materials throughout the warehouse, adhering to designated pathways and speed limits.
- Load and unload trucks efficiently, ensuring proper securing of cargo.
- Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records by properly staging and identifying materials.
- Follow all safety regulations and company policies, including the correct use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring clear access to aisles and emergency exits.
- Participate in regular safety training sessions and contribute to a proactive safety culture.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Forklift Operator with a valid certification.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Understanding of warehouse operations and logistics.
- Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to all safety guidelines.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet performance targets.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to follow instructions.
