The Opportunity As a Quality Engineer, you will report directly to the Quality Manager and be responsible for operational quality activities to ensure that manufacturing process controls are adequate and robust and that they comply with the QMS. Working within all areas of the business, you will be responsible for promoting a culture of continuous quality improvement while creating a data-driven approach to problem-solving. If you are looking for a role where you can make an impact and grow with us, now is the perfect time to come on board About the role Provide quality assurance of products throughout the complete product lifecycle. Manage product and process changes to ensure full control and only approved parts get onto the production line. Create procedures, work instructions, boundary samples and product catalogues. Conduct internal audits in line with standards such as ISO and 80079, including closing out audit findings and creating audits finding reports. Developing and implementing quality standards and quality control systems. Lead Problem Solving activities and create Corrective Action Reports using various quality tools. Coordination of containment activities internally and externally until resolution. Verification of compliance to specification/control plans of purchased production products and components. Investigating and troubleshooting of product or production issues to determine corrective and preventive actions. Create procedures, work instructions, boundary samples and failure catalogues. Manage the Incoming Inspection and Internal Quality systems. Set the definition of Incoming inspection routines e.g. skip lots. Promote the implementation of Lessons Learned to avoid re-occurrence. Work with suppliers and internal Company personnel on targeted continuous improvement programs. Monitoring and analysing quality performance. Supporting Supplier Performance Evaluation and supplier audits/visits. Assist Quality Manager in establishing, implementing, and maintaining the quality management system. Analyse quality data to determine trends and opportunities for improvement. What you will need Degree in electronical, mechanical or any other industrial engineering/ technical field Minimum 5 years related experience or training in a manufacturing environment, or equivalent combination of education and experience within a regulated industry High technical expertise and understanding of core quality tools and processes Strong communication and IT skills Strong problem-solving skills Eligible to work in the UK without requiring sponsorship Desired Criteria Electronic component manufacture, assembly, test and failure analysis Surface Mount Technology and mechanical assembly processes Lead Auditor qualification Management of external quality concerns Able to work under pressure and tight timelines and still deliver good results Project Management experience Experience of Lean/Six Sigma tools Benefits: Performance Bonus Recognition schemes Cycle Scheme & employee discounts Enhanced family leave Free parking Hybrid working Private Healthcare & life assurance
