Mechanical Engineering Intern

Duties will include but are not limited to:

• Assist with 3D CAD modeling

• Assist with preparing 2D drawings for fabrication, assembly, and installation including BOM generation

• Assist with CAD database maintenance

• Assist with performing mechanical structural analyses

• Assist with in-house assembly, inspection, and testing of system hardware or prototype

Qualifications Required:

• Current college student working towards a Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent, with 1-3 years related experience

• Experience with Autodesk Inventor or similar 3D mechanical CAD software

• Strong computer skills

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Good organizational skills

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Qualifications Desired:

• Experience with Finite Element Analysis (FEA) software and Mathcad

• Work on design competition team such as Formula SAE, Baja SAE, Robotics, or similar
