Position Summary
We are seeking a skilled and customer-focused
Network Engineer
to design, implement, and support network infrastructure solutions for our clients. This role serves as a technical liaison between customers, internal project teams, and service departments, ensuring reliable, secure, and high-performing network environments. The ideal candidate combines strong networking expertise with excellent communication and customer service skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, configure, deploy, and support customer network solutions, including LAN, WAN, WLAN, and security infrastructure
- Perform network assessments, troubleshooting, and optimization for customer environments
- Serve as a technical resource for customer-facing projects, from pre-sales support through post-installation service
- Collaborate with sales, project management, and engineering teams to develop and deliver tailored network solutions
- Provide on-site and remote technical support for network-related issues
- Document network designs, configurations, and support procedures
- Ensure network solutions align with customer requirements, industry best practices, and security standards
- Assist with system upgrades, expansions, and technology refreshes
- Maintain strong customer relationships through clear communication and proactive problem-solving
Required Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Networking, or related field, or equivalent experience
- 3+ years of experience in network engineering or network support roles
- Strong knowledge of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, switching, DNS, DHCP)
- Experience with enterprise network hardware (e.g., Cisco, Meraki, Aruba, Ubiquiti, or similar)
- Familiarity with network security concepts such as firewalls, VPNs, and access control
- Ability to troubleshoot complex network issues in customer environments
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- A strong background in Linux is required. Flexibility in which version of Linux we work with is required.
- A background and experience in dealing with SIP, VOIP technologies, and Voice systems is required.
- Networking technologies span a wide range of systems. This position will be required to work with multiple systems as needed as our business model demands.
Preferred Qualifications
- Industry certifications such as CCNA, Network+, or equivalent
- Experience supporting multi-site or customer-managed networks
- Knowledge of cloud-connected or hybrid network environments
- Experience working in a technology integrator or customer-facing technical role
