We're supporting a fast-growing technology company working at the intersection of geospatial data, modern software engineering, and mission-critical systems. They are building advanced applications used by end users operating in restricted environments, and are looking to add a Software Engineer to a small, agile team.

This role offers the chance to work on highly impactful software, contributing to scalable architectures, data-rich applications, and user-focused design in a secure setting.

What you'll be doing

• Taking ownership of key parts of an application, including user experience and feature development
• Enhancing an existing platform designed to handle tens of thousands of map-based data points and multiple configurable data sources
• Contributing to the design, development, testing, and integration of mission-focused applications
• Collaborating with teammates to adapt open-source capabilities for use on restricted networks
• Supporting documentation around development, deployment, and system usage
• Working within an Agile environment to deliver iterative improvements

What we're looking for

• Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility
• Professional experience developing software using modern languages such as Python, Java, and JavaScript
• Experience working with JavaScript frameworks, ideally Angular
• Background supporting or enhancing software used in mission or enterprise environments
• Strong collaboration skills and comfort working in team-based development
• Ability to learn new technologies quickly and apply them effectively
• Experience contributing to development and deployment documentation
• Familiarity with Agile software development practices

Nice to have

• Experience with cloud services, particularly within geospatial or data-heavy systems
• Exposure to geospatial technologies or data visualisation
• Experience with DevOps tools and CI/CD pipelines
• Understanding of data modelling, machine learning, or AI concepts
• Relevant technical certifications
