Overview
We are seeking a highly organized and patient-focused Dental Front Office / DA1 Floater to join our dynamic dental practice. This role provides essential administrative and clinical support, ensuring smooth daily operations across various departments. The ideal candidate will possess strong office management skills, familiarity with dental and medical EMR systems, and excellent communication abilities. Bilingual proficiency is a plus, along with clinic or dental office experience. This position offers an opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care.
Duties
- Greet and check-in patients using multi-line phone systems and front desk procedures
- Verify insurance coverage and perform insurance verification using systems such as Dentrix, Eaglesoft, and Athenahealth
- Schedule appointments efficiently utilizing dental scheduling software and manage patient flow
- Collect payments, process medical billing, and handle collections with accuracy in compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Maintain accurate medical and dental records within EMR/EHR systems including Epic, Meditech, eClinicalWorks, and others
- Review documentation for completeness and accuracy, including care plans, CPT coding, ICD-9/10 coding, and medical terminology
- Assist with intake procedures and patient data entry using 10-key typing and Microsoft Office tools
- Support clinical staff with administrative tasks such as filing, documentation review, and office management duties
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA standards for health information management and patient confidentiality
- Provide exceptional customer service by maintaining professional phone etiquette and addressing patient inquiries
Requirements
- Prior experience in a dental or medical office setting is required
- Proficiency Dentrix required
- Knowledge of dental terminology, medical coding (ICD-9/10), CPT coding, insurance verification processes, and health information management standards
- Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with multi-line phone systems and 10-key typing required
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation review and data entry
- Ability to handle sensitive information in accordance with HIPAA regulations
- Bilingual skills are a plus to serve diverse patient populations
- Previous experience as a front desk receptionist or medical administrative support role is advantageous
- Professional appearance coupled with strong communication skills including phone etiquette and customer service orientation

Pay: $ $22.00 per hour
