Field PLC and SCADA Engineer

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled PLC SCADA and Control Systems Engineer with strong expertise in industrial automation and proven experience in troubleshooting complex control systems. The ideal candidate will design, implement, and maintain PLC and SCADA systems for industrial processes, ensuring optimal performance, reliability, and safety.

Key Responsibilities

• Design & Development:
• Develop, program, and configure PLCs (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, etc.) and SCADA systems for industrial automation projects.
• Create and maintain control logic, HMI screens, and communication protocols.
• System Integration:
• Integrate PLC/SCADA systems with sensors, actuators, and other field devices.
• Ensure seamless communication between control systems and enterprise-level applications.
• Troubleshooting & Maintenance:
• Diagnose and resolve issues in PLC, SCADA, and related control systems promptly.
• Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime.
• Provide on-site and remote support for system failures and performance issues.
• Testing & Commissioning:
• Conduct factory acceptance tests (FAT) and site acceptance tests (SAT).
• Oversee commissioning and start-up of control systems at client sites.
• Documentation & Compliance:
• Prepare detailed technical documentation, including wiring diagrams, control logic, and user manuals.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
• Collaboration:
• Work closely with project managers, electrical engineers, and clients to deliver projects on time and within scope.
• Provide technical training and support to operators and maintenance teams.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in PLC and SCADA programming and troubleshooting.
• Proficiency in PLC platforms (e.g., Allen-Bradley, Siemens) and SCADA software (e.g., Wonderware, Ignition).
• Strong understanding of industrial communication protocols (Modbus, Profibus, Ethernet/IP).
• Hands-on experience with troubleshooting hardware and software issues in control systems.
• Knowledge of safety standards and best practices in industrial automation.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with robotics, motion control, or process automation.
• Familiarity with cybersecurity practices for industrial control systems.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $75, $95,000.00 per year
