Job Description
The Agency Territory Sales Manager is a growth-driven sales professional responsible for winning new agency relationships, expanding production with existing partners, and driving profitable revenue growth within a defined territory. This role is designed for a seller who thrives on prospecting, influencing, and closing

The successful candidate will actively identify and pursue high-potential agencies, position the full value of the company's product portfolio, and build trusted, long-term partnerships that consistently exceed volume and profitability goals. This role plays a critical part in increasing market share and strengthening the company's presence in the independent agency channel.

In addition to owning territory performance, the Agency Territory Sales Manager serves as a sales subject matter expert, sharing best practices, mentoring peers, and contributing to initiatives that elevate overall sales effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities

  • Recommends agencies to participate in profit-sharing, rewards, and special incentives programs, and other agency sales initiatives
  • Solicits new agencies, evaluates their potential to write quality new business, and appoints qualified new agencies with limited Regional Sales Managers and/or Sales Director oversight
  • Consistently exceeds agreed upon new business production, direct written premium, loss ratio goals, and other KPIs on an annual basis by effectively managing the agents of an assigned territory
  • Consistently exceeds expectations and serves as a role model for the members of the team, while embracing company initiatives such as cross-sell/One NatGen, and assisting the Director/RSM in the training and mentoring of new hires
  • Terminates agents for lack of production, unprofitable results, or other cause
  • Increases the percentage of producing agents within the territory through additional training and process improvements

Education

  • 4 year Bachelors Degree (Preferred)

Experience

  • 5 or more years of experience (Preferred)

Education & Experience (in lieu)

  • In lieu of the above education requirements, an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Candidates ideally reside within Charlotte area.
