2nd Shift Material Handler

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Material Handler to join our team in a fast-paced warehouse environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for efficiently handling materials, ensuring proper loading and unloading of goods, and maintaining a safe and organized workspace. This role requires physical stamina and the ability to operate heavy equipment safely.

Schedule: Monday - Thursday: 5:00 pm - 3:30 am

Duties

• Load and unload materials from trucks and containers, ensuring accurate inventory counts.
• Operate heavy equipment such as forklifts, order pickers, and pallet jacks to move products within the warehouse.
• Build and assemble pallets for distribution, ensuring proper stacking techniques to maintain safety.
• Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization within the warehouse to comply with OSHA standards.
• Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to ensure timely processing of incoming and outgoing shipments.
• Perform regular inspections of equipment to ensure mechanical reliability and report any issues promptly.
• Follow safety protocols at all times while handling materials to prevent accidents or injuries.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a warehouse or distribution center environment is preferred.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds) consistently throughout the shift.
• Familiarity with operating heavy equipment safely, including forklifts and order pickers.
• Strong mechanical knowledge is a plus for troubleshooting equipment issues.
• Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail for accurate inventory management.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while also being self-motivated.
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations related to warehouse operations is advantageous.
