The Production Machine Maintenance Technician is an essential member of the Manufacturing Admin team reporting directly to the Factory and Production Managers. The Machine Maintenance Technician will be responsible for (a) keeping up to date record of all factory machinery, (b) performing routine maintenance (preventive and corrective) on the machines, (c) troubleshooting, diagnosing and repairing electrical and mechanical components of the machines.

This is a very hands on operational role for a very versatile candidate taht can work on production machines, and help out within logistics. This is a very roll up your sleeves and help wherever needed type of fast moving environment.

Key Performance Indicators:

Ability to prevent / minimize machine downtime

Ability to accurately diagnose and perform skilled repairs on factory machines

Ability to follow standard safety procedures while working on the machines

Ability to accurately perform equipment failure analysis on factory machines

Ability to report repairs, maintenance & modification details accurately on our ERP system

Responsibilities:

Preventative Maintenance
:
 Conduct routine inspections and maintenance to prevent equipment failures.

Troubleshooting & Repair
: Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues using diagnostic tools and manual dexterity.

Equipment Monitoring:
 Watch gauges and other indicators to ensure machinery is operating correctly.

Part Replacement:
 Replace worn, broken, or malfunctioning parts to restore functionality.

Safety Compliance
: Perform inspections and follow OSHA safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment. In addition, performing fire safety audits.

Documentation:
 Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, parts used, and any downtime.

Installation:
 Assist in the installation of new machinery or equipment.

Inventory Management
: Monitor and manage inventory of spare parts and maintenance supplies.

Emergency Response:
 Respond promptly to urgent maintenance requests and emergencies.

Essential Skills

  • Mechanical Aptitude:
     In-depth knowledge of machines, tools, their design, uses, and maintenance.
  • Problem Solving
    : Strong critical thinking and deductive reasoning to identify root causes of problems and devise effective solutions.
  • Technical Skills
    : Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, technical manuals, and work orders.
  • Manual Dexterity
    : Skilled use of hands and tools for precise repair and maintenance tasks.
  • Communication:
     Clear verbal and written skills to communicate maintenance needs and document work effectively.

    : Ability to collaborate with maintenance and production teams.

    : Dependability, punctuality, and a conscientious approach to tasks.

     Proficiency in using Microsoft Word, Excel and Dynamics for reports and maintenance management.
