Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Medical Technician to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in patient care and be familiar with various medical systems. This role is crucial in providing high-quality support to patients in settings such as assisted living, acute care, and memory care facilities. The Medical Technician will work closely with nurses and other healthcare professionals to ensure the well-being of patients while adhering to HIPAA regulations.

Duties

• Provide direct patient care, including monitoring vital signs and assisting with daily living activities.
• Perform catheter care and other essential medical procedures as required.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with HIPAA standards.
• Collaborate with nursing staff to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Utilize electronic health record systems, such as Cerner, to manage patient information efficiently.
• Assist in the training of new staff members on patient care protocols and systems.
• Ensure a clean and safe environment for patients, adhering to all safety regulations.

Requirements

• Proven experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in assisted living or acute care environments.
• Strong knowledge of patient care practices, including vital signs monitoring and catheter management.
• Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team-oriented environment.
• Certification or training as a Medical Technician or related field is preferred but not mandatory.
• Ability to demonstrate compassion and empathy towards patients while providing high-quality care.
