What You'll Do Design and implement distributed architectures for large-scale, cloud-based systems (AWS, Azure, GCP). Integrate advanced AI capabilities into enterprise software solutions. Serve as a technical authority, establishing standards for security, scalability, and performance to uphold code quality. Transform customer needs into clear, actionable technical designs. Facilitate discussions, challenge ideas, and unify teams around a strong technical direction. Work collaboratively with engineers and stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of MVPs and production-ready solutions. Develop robust back-end services using Node.js, Python, or similar technologies. Integrate large language models (LLMs) and multimodal AI models into applications effectively. Optimize application performance, ensuring efficient AI inference and quick API response times. Guarantee the security, scalability, and compliance of AI-driven solutions. Stay informed on the latest trends in Generative/Agentic AI and cloud technologies. Required Skills and Experience Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or relevant field (or equivalent experience). 6+ years of experience in full-stack development, successfully building scalable production systems. Proficient in JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, and modern front-end frameworks (React, Vue, or Angular). Experience with AI frameworks such as LangChain, AutoGen, or CrewAI. Hands-on experience in integrating AI models via APIs (OpenAI, Hugging Face, etc.). Familiarity with vector databases, embeddings, and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) techniques. Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP), containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and CI/CD pipelines. Understanding of database technologies (SQL, NoSQL, Firebase, MongoDB, PostgreSQL). Ability to create scalable and maintainable architectures for AI-driven applications. Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to ensure a seamless delivery of end-to-end functionalities. Knowledge of message queues (e.g., RabbitMQ, Kafka) and caching systems (e.g., Redis). Preferred Skills and Experience Experience with Temporal Workflows, Langfuse, LLM gateways like LiteLLM. Previous experience in prompt engineering. Developed AI-powered chatbots, content generators, or recommendation systems. Familiarity with LLM fine-tuning, prompt engineering, and AI model optimization. Knowledge of serverless computing, edge AI, and streaming architectures. Experience with large-scale data or real-time systems. The compensation range for this role in the U.S. is $138,480 to $263,160 based on a full-time schedule. Actual compensation may vary based on geography, skills, and experience. For part-time positions, this will be adjusted as necessary. Specific compensation ranges apply for different locations: California: $152,400 to $315,720; Colorado: $138,480 to $263,160; New York City: $166,200 to $315,720; Washington: $152,400 to $289,440; Washington DC: $152,400 to $289,440. This role is eligible for Kyndryl's discretionary annual bonus program, based on performance, along with a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical and dental coverage, disability and retirement benefits, paid leave, and paid time off.
