This position is in-office and open in the following areas: Lehi UT, Austin TX, Houston TX, Denver CO, Chicago IL, Raleigh–Durham NC.

We are seeking a
Senior DevOps Engineer / DevOps Team Lead
to drive reliability, scalability, and operational excellence across Sirion's global, cloud-native SaaS platform. This role blends deep technical expertise with hands-on leadership and plays a critical role in supporting Sirion's AI-led product ecosystem.

You will own CI/CD strategy, cloud infrastructure, and automation standards, while mentoring engineers and partnering closely with Engineering, QA, Security, and IT teams to enable high-quality, high-velocity delivery.

How You'll Make an Impact


• Own and evolve CI/CD pipelines and cloud infrastructure across AWS and Azure.


• Lead automation initiatives across infrastructure-as-code, observability, and performance engineering.


• Design, deploy, and support containerized platforms using Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenShift.


• Improve system reliability, deployment architecture, and operational efficiency.


• Partner with Engineering, QA, and IT to ensure smooth releases and rapid issue resolution.


• Establish governance for deployment processes, documentation, and environment configuration.


• Act as an escalation point for complex production issues and drive root cause analysis.


• Support Java-based services and database integrations including MySQL and Oracle.


• Strengthen monitoring, alerting, and performance analytics using Prometheus, Nagios, and Hyperic.

Skills & Experience You Bring to the Table

Core Expertise


• 7+ years of DevOps experience, including leadership experience in a cloud-native SaaS environment.


• Demonstrated technical leadership or team lead experience in production environments.


• Strong understanding of cloud architecture, reliability, and operational best practices.


• Experience applying FinOps principles to optimize cost, performance, and scalability.


• Proven ability to support enterprise-grade, high-availability systems.


• Experience participating in on-call or rotational shift coverage.


• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills across infrastructure and deployments.

Qualifications


• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

Technical Proficiencies

Cloud & Infrastructure

  • Linux administration expertise (Ubuntu, Red Hat, CentOS).
  • Strong experience with AWS and Azure cloud platforms and infrastructure management.

Containers & Orchestration

  • Expertise in container orchestration technologies including Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenShift.

CI/CD & Automation

  • Hands-on automation experience with Jenkins, Ansible, Puppet, Chef, and Terraform.

Messaging & Streaming

  • Experience with messaging systems such as Kafka and Pulsar.

Version Control

  • Strong knowledge of version control tools including GitLab, GitHub, SVN, and Bitbucket.

Monitoring & Observability

  • Proficiency with monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Hyperic, Nagios, Cacti, Munin, and Ganglia + Prometheus, Grafana, ElasticSearch APM, PingDom & Nagios.

Application & Runtime Support

  • Experience with Java deployments, Apache Tomcat, and HTTP Server

Scripting & Automation

  • Strong scripting skills using Python, Shell, Groovy, and PowerShell.

MLOps

  • MLOps experience including model deployment, lifecycle management, pipeline automation, and monitoring.

Database integration & understanding of DBs

  • MongoDB, Qdrant, PostGress
